Writer’s Retreat

Brief | 

• Design an innovative retreat that would welcome visitors for short/medium-long stays.

• Include Experiential Design principles with installations.

• Choose the location in a place nearby our home.

• The space of 169 sqm in total, would have to include four bedrooms with en-suite bathroom, a kitchenette and communal shares space.

Proposal | A cozy and unique scheme was pulled together for a creative retreat to be located in the island of Djurgården, between Stockholm city center and the archipelago. The theme of the retreat was inspired by the location, once a creative hub for writers. "Skriva" - to write in Swedish is an international retreat for female writers and bloggers. During the research, it emerged that female writers struggle to reach success in this field and therefore, within this retreat, they will find a home-away-from-home to focus and share ideas.
